Compliance Officer

Employer:National Probation Service, Thames Valley Area

Salary:£15,736 - £19,710 per annum 

Hours:37 hours per week 

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position 

Location:Aylesbury 

Closing date:07/08/2008 23:59 PM 

You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality and integrity of the data in our information systems meets the required standards for improving staff practice. You will also develop and publish guidance for staff compliance and data quality practice when using case management systems. You will also be the central point of contact between Thames Valley Probation and NOMS OIS for all technical and practice matters. The Ability to prioritise your own workload and work under pressure to tight deadlines is essential.

In this varied role you should have comprehensive and current knowledge of offender management and interventions policy and practice including currently operational sentencing policy and national Standards for Offender Management. Good communication skills and the ability to obtain and prepare information from a variety of sources and to communicate it to others in various formats are also needed. Experience of MS-Excel and MS-Access is also required.
