Salary:£21,108 - £25,314

Hours:36 hours per week

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position

Location:Merrow

The Asset Performance and Survey Team of Surrey Highways is currently seeking to employ a committed individual, as a Coring Technician. The challenges of this job are to prioritise your work schedule effectively so as to make the most of your valuable time, and to carry out the work safely, while producing high quality output.

You will be involved in pre-planning all sampling and survey work identified to you and managing the provision of appropriate traffic management to undertake all work safely on site. The work involves the detailed documentation of samples using hand held computer technology and digital photographs which can then be downloaded at your base and used to ensure the quality of workmanship and materials provided by various contractors working on the Surrey highway network. The site must then be left safe for travelling public before moving on to the next location.

The two most important tasks are to manage your daily workload in a safe manner and to produce quality information. They information that you provide then enables us to challenge the utility companies in their performance of highway reinstatements.

A clean, relevant driving licence is required for this position.
