Temporary Travel Plan Project Officer

Travel Plan Project
These new temporary posts have been created to assist in the development and implementation of the Council’s Travel Plan. The post will contribute towards the development, implementation and/or administration of measures aimed at encouraging staff to adopt the most sustainable modes of travel for both commuting and business travel.

You will manage and undertake a range of activities associated with the Council’s Travel Plan project and Action Plan, which will include contributing to the review of existing travel policies and provisions and the development of appropriate travel planning initiatives, including the development of car sharing schemes, business travel initiatives and encouragement of walking and cycling.

You will:

  • have experience in travel planning or a related field that enables you to deliver a range of travel plan initiatives
  • have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
  • have an up to date knowledge of Travel Plan guidance and best practice
  • ideally have experience of delivering marketing, promotions and travel awareness raising activities.
