West Berkshire Council, in partnership with West Berkshire Training Consortium (WBTC) and Newbury College, are launching their own Apprenticeship Scheme.

We have a variety of Apprenticeship opportunities across many areas which provide a huge range of services across the Council. Once working within the Council there are a variety of opporunities available from internal training courses to aplying for other roles. So far the areas looking for Apprentices include:

  • HR
  • Education IT
  • Adult Social Care
  • Assurance
  • Youth Services
  • Children’s Services
  • Customer Services
  • Trading Standards
  • Housing
  • Adult and Community Learning
  • Connexions

If you are interested in applying for an Apprenticeship at West Berkshire Council, you need to be registered with WBTC or Newbury College.

Once you have registered with one of the training providers you can apply on this site. You will be applying for an Apprentice role, and you will state in your application whether you have a preference over which of the services mentioned above you would like to work in. You need to click to ‘Apply Online’, and you also need to complete the attached ‘Apprentice Training Provider Form’.

The closing date for applications is 24th February 2012, you will then be invited to an assessment centre in early March.
