This is a fixed term post for 6 months, with the possibility of extension up to 1 year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible person to assist in the Curriculum Team’s role of programme planning and quality assessment.

You will support the Curriculum Manager and Assistant Curriculum Manager in developing provision in our Exercise, Fitness and Wellbeing and Dance programmes. You must be able to use IT confidently and manage your working time flexibly and effectively. Experience of teaching adults, a Teaching Certificate and appropriate subject expertise are essential.

Assistant Curriculum Managers are responsible for a designated area of learning in which they ensure that the course programme reflects demand and need and the quality of teaching and learning is maintained against the agreed ACL Quality Assurance Framework.

The role involves selecting, appointing and supporting tutors, both on a daily basis and through formal observations and informal class visits, to deliver a range of adult learning programmes.

The Assistant Curriculum Managers also work with Centre Managers and tutors to organise the programme of courses. The ability to communicate effectively, to give feedback and develop supportive relationships is essential. The role involves travelling to some centres in Surrey.
