The Royal Borough is proud of its extensive community leadership structures and the Community Partnership is now seeking enthusiastic and experienced candidates for the post of Community Partnership Co-ordinator based within the busy Democratic Services Unit of the Corporate Services Directorate.
You will be responsible for implementing the Sustainable Community Strategy of the Royal Borough’s Community Partnership’s (our Local Strategic Partnership). You will need to have project and performance management experience and a proven track record in partnership working that has delivered positive outcomes for local communities.
The role will include taking the lead on a number of project areas for the partnership, including the development of a successful Compact, and working with the voluntary and community sector. In the first year, it will also include involvement in some partnership pilot projects with the Government Office of the South East. Experience of partnership working at a senior level with the police, local authority, PCT or business partnerships will be an advantage.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate who will bring vitality to this new post, manage a number of projects that enhance partnership working in the Borough and be responsible for the budgets associated with the programme.
You will need the ability to work with people at all levels in many organisations and have GCSE grade A* -C Maths and English or equivalent, or proven experience.
