Strategy and Communications
In less than six months our borough plays host to the Olympic Games. This role works to help our Council understand and respond to our residents’ priorities and inform the decisions which affect their lives during times of unprecedented change.
Our approach to everything in Waltham Forest is residents focussed. As our consultation manager, it will be your responsibility to make sure the Council understands residents’ priorities and what they need from their Council.
You’ll be an experienced researcher with skills which will see you confidently lead a focus group with residents one day then devise and interpret a quantitative survey the next. You will have experience of designing research and consultation exercises and programmes to inform major projects and important decisions. You will also have a strong procurement and commissioning skills as the lead commissioner of research in our authority.
On top of this, you will have a manner and authority which inspires trust and confidence at the highest levels.
In return, you will work in a close knit team which delivers communications, public affairs and intelligence support to the Council, and will work on issues critical to the future development of the authority.

• Ensuring our workforce reflects the diverse communities of Waltham Forest at all levels
