NHS North Staffordshire was formed in October 2006 and is responsible for providing health services for a population of over 210,000 across Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands. With an ambitions agenda for improving healthcare, we are accelerating the delivery of our healthcare improvement strategy through several significant healthcare transformation projects.

Skills:

Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for coordinating the financial planning, financial management and control and financial reporting for the Trust. Working with the Directorate Management Team you will contribute to or lead strategically important projects and interface with partner organisations and the wider health economy. In addition you will lead the finance team through the design and review of financial systems, controls and reports.

Fundamentally we are looking for an individual who understands the import role finance plays in delivering excellent healthcare. We would encourage candidates from a commercial or broader public sector background who are able to demonstrate an understanding of current NHS developments to apply. You will need to demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills to maintain and develop strong relations with Board members and senior managers within the Trust and external stakeholders. You will be a qualified accountant who is ambitious and energetic with a successful track record of working in a constantly changing environment.
