The Director of Education & Qualifications role ensures our client has the policies and processes necessary to provide membership and qualifications at a high standard and relevance to the market. In doing so, the Director will ensure international standards are appropriately reflected in their member, and future member, competencies.
You will be responsible for supporting our client’s membership internationally. Working with our client’s World Regions, and ensuring their policies and processes are enacted consistently and appropriately around the world. Whilst ensuring consistency, you will also need to understand and flexibly address the needs of different markets around the world.
The Director of Education & Qualification is responsible for a team, currently 11 employees, who support two key tasks: development of policy and relationships with universities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Support the development and maintenance of relationships with universities, academics and employers.
b) Provide advice, policy options and support to our client’s Member Boards.
c) Work in partnership with our client’s colleagues and teams to create coordinated and international standards.
d) Create and maintain an appropriate global assurance framework for education and membership standards.
e) Lead, support and develop staff.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Degree level education.
b) Experience of working with universities and agencies in higher education.
c) Experience working in an international environment.
d) Experience enacting and managing international qualification standards.
e) An ability to think strategically; identify key business objectives, create suitable work plans and ensure effective execution.
f) Excellent written/spoken English; good general communication skills.
g) A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate an effective team, and monitoring and managing
You may have experience of the following: Director of Education, Policy Manager, Policies, Universities, Education Director, Public Affairs, Head of Curriculum, International Policy Advisor, Deputy Director, Head of Education etc.
