In this role, you’ll make a pivotal contribution to communicating Shelter’s messages and increasing income online, by designing and building websites to the highest standards of design and functionality.
You’ll have excellent technical and design skills with extensive experience building and maintaining enterprise level websites with e-commerce functionality. You’ll use your technical expertise in Javascript, XHTML, CSS and PHP to design and build our websites, emails and other online collateral using CMS templates and custom scripts.
Having excellent design skills, you’ll have proved yourself capable of balancing attractive visuals with functionality and usability, and you will ensure all Shelter’s web outputs are cross-platform and browser compliant and are fully accessible.
You will lead on the integration of all online collateral with databases and online trading processes, so you are likely to have a proven track record in building and maintaining complex enterprise-level websites.
You’ll contribute to web strategy and advise on technical solutions: with real enthusiasm and extensive web technology expertise, you’ll be ready to make an impact. Shelter is developing its online communications, so you’ll need to know your Web 2.0 and have an excellent grasp of digital marketing. It’s also a role that will see you deputising for the web manager, supervising junior staff and liaising with key stakeholders so you’ll be not just a techie but also an excellent communicator.
