HEAD OF VENUES
£51,992 – £61,191 + bonus + excellent relocation package

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your commercial foresight to our portfolio of venues. We have eight distinctly different sites including a theatre, museum, 30 function/meeting rooms, social facilities for older people and a large outdoor events area.

You will need the vision to identify new income opportunities and the application to meet and exceed an income target of £1.2m pa. Able to take a strategic overview on areas such as marketing, you will also have the operational know how to deliver a quality experience day in, day out. You will need the communication and personal skills to reach the 500,000+ visitors each year, inspire and lead a team of 58, and work with key business partners, directors and politicians. Switching between negotiating major commercial contracts and working with some of our more vulnerable residents, you will also need the financial acumen to manage a budget of £1.7m pa. and the innovation to make it stretch further.

Above all you will need to be able to successfully manage change and to constantly raise standards.
