The Museum of London is looking for a talented, motivated and driven Helpdesk Engineer to work as part of a team of 3 engineers. You will be responsible for managing the day to day IT problems encountered by our c400 users throughout the Museum of London Group. You will attend to PCs, Servers, peripheral devices and network equipment on the Group’s three London sites. You will also respond to support requests made, logged and tracked on the group’s helpdesk system, and be expected to diagnose and prioritise those calls on the basis of their severity.

The successful candidate must have recent substantial experience in an IT/Helpdesk/user support role and a current Microsoft Certification (MCP, MCSA, MCSE). You must also have experience of supporting Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows 2000/XP Professional, the Microsoft Office suite, and MS Exchange Server 2000/2003. You will need a flexible approach to working hours and on occasion will be asked to provide on call and weekend cover.

Experience of McAfee Anti-Virus software management, Altiris Client Management suite, Veritas Backup Exec, Oracle RDBMS and SQL Server is desirable as is experience of supporting a joint PC/MAC based environment.
