We are seeking an experienced and pro-active person to take up the exciting and challenging post of ICT Analyst in the ICT Service Desk Team. You will have a broad knowledge of ICT and demonstrate an expert knowledge of at least one current technology to an advanced level.

The Service Desk is a key ICT Service Management function and the single point of contact for all ICT related matters within the Council, supporting and enabling services to achieve the Council’s Priorities. Following ITIL© principles, we strive to continuously improve our services and resolve as many calls as possible at the first point of customer contact.

Team working is essential as you will work closely with ICT colleagues to:

• Ensure customer communications are timely and informative
• Establish, document and improve processes to deliver an effective, quality service
• Resolve problems by establishing the root cause of ICT issues
• Offer advice and guidance to customers on how to make the best use of ICT
• Provide effective first line technical support covering the Service Desk’s opening hours (8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday)
The pace of change is fast moving and the varied nature of the work can be both challenging and rewarding. Your ability to manage a demanding workload to a strict timetable will be essential in this role.
