We are looking for an ICT Developer who will be responsible for the development and technical management of Visualfiles, PHSO’s corporate casework system. This includes server maintenance and the development of application scripts, as well as aiding the Corporate Performance Development team with requirement specifications and the delivery of management information.

The ICT Developer will help the ICT team respond to application support and development requests from our internal customers, and communicate with external support staff or consultants where required, to ensure that appropriate service levels and standards are maintained.

The Ombudsman provides a service to the public by undertaking independent investigations into complaints that government departments, a range of other public bodies in the UK, and the NHS in England have not acted properly or fairly or have provided a poor service. The Ombudsman’s aim and vision is to provide an independent, high quality complaint handling service that rights individual wrongs, drives improvements in public services and informs public policy.
