In ICT Services at Cannock Chase Council, we believe change is always positive. To assist us in maintaining a high level of service performance we are looking to recruit staff to our ICT Service Desk 1st line support teams.

As part of this dedicated Customer Services team, you will be involved in all aspects of Information Communication Technology, providing professional 1st and 2nd line application and desktop support to both our internal and external customers. As a 1st Line Support Officer you will be part of a Service Desk team providing professional first point of contact solutions and advice to enable quick and speedy resolution of service.

You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. You must possess a flexible but organised approach to work and have the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You must also have a methodical and committed approach to work and completing tasks.

You should also have excellent customer care skills, good 1st line technical awareness, enthusiasm and a willingness to improve our services. A knowledge of some of the following would be beneficial; Active Directory, RDP, Exchange, SQL Server, Windows Server 2003.

This position will require the applicants to have sound technical knowledge in an ICT environment and expertise in both the Service Desk and the maintenance of all ICT desktop support services. The successful applicant will either hold or be studying towards a recognised ICT qualification.
