Information Systems (IS) Support Officers are part of the IS Support team for Education and Children’s Services. The IS Support team provides support and training to users of a range of IT systems within Education and Children’s Services and Schools, and undertakes ongoing development work to ensure systems continue to meet business needs.

We currently have two vacancies within the team, the first focusing on MIS (RM G2) support for our primary schools, and candidates must be able to work and travel across the borough delivering hands on support in schools as well as being a key member of the central team linking work in schools to that of that of the centrally based team. The second post will focus on the delivery of support for our central systems for delivery of ICS and Richmond’s central pupil database and will be based in Regal House, Twickenham, again the successful candidate must be able to deliver support to staff based at any of our locations across the borough.

Ideal candidates will have highly developed IT skills, experience of providing user support and systems administration for IT systems, and excellent influencing and communications skills. Candidates will need to have a keen awareness of national developments within Children’s Services, the Every Child Matters agenda and the challenges facing Childrens Services and Schools. Previous experience working with an Integrated Children’s System (ICS) or Education IT system is highly desirable.
