This is a Fixed Term contract until 31st March 2010
Medway is the largest conurbation in the South East outside of London, situated in the heart of the Thames Gateway regeneration area. The area has 13,000 businesses and Medway Council has been recognised with Beacon status for “Supporting New Businesses” in 2005/06.
Medway Council Economic Development service, in conjunction with local Partners, has developed a state of the art Innovation Centre close to J3 of the M2. This purpose built 30,000 sq. ft. facility will house innovative and high growth businesses with specialist support and site facilities.
The Post of ICM Manager will oversee the efficient commissioning of the project from building handover to procurement of a suitable specialist operator. Experience of facilities management including financial control and local authority procurement is essential. Knowledge of business support services and needs of innovative & growth businesses would be an advantage.
