We are looking for an IT Services Manager (interim contract) in our ITS team. The Infrastructure Services Manager’s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This will include developing, maintaining, supporting and optimizing key functional areas such as network infrastructure, server infrastructure and telecommunications systems and liaising with 3rd parties as appropriate.
You will also be involved in the provision of end-user services through the IT service desk and desktop support teams. The Infrastructure Services Manager will schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The post holder will also be responsible for managing key vendor relationships, as major parts of the MHP’s infrastructure are being outsourced.
Essential Criteria
• Extensive experience as a Services Manager or senior Infrastructure Manager
• Management of a multi-discipline team of a minimum of 20 staff
• Demonstrable experience in process and/or orgainsational design
• Solid knowledge of Service Management tools
• Previous organisation employee numbers in excess of 1000 staff
• ITIL Foundation Certificate
• PRINCE2 Foundation
Desirable Criteria
• Industry standard qualifications for Microsoft, Cisco or other notable product range
• ITIL Service Management Certificate
• PRINCE2 Practitioner
Technical Expertise
• Service lifecycle management (ITIL V2 or V3)
• Process design and development
• Organisational design and development
• Project delivery and implementation
• Infrastructure, desktop, operating system, application expertise

Contract: Interim until 31st March 2013
Hours: Fulltime 35 hours per week
Salary: 75000 per annum
