Opening Doors

The Opening Doors service provides impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG) and job support services – IT training, job search facilities and job brokerage among them – to Lewisham residents who are looking for work, who want a change of career or who wish to take up opportunities for learning. The service is also Matrix accredited.

We are looking to recruit an experienced IT Tutor with excellent communication skills, to provide tutor support to Opening Doors clients undertaking short courses and structured open-learning programmes.

We are seeking someone who meets the following criteria:
• Experience of providing IT training in non-traditional environments
• Understanding of the needs of unemployed people and those with limited IT skills
• Experience of planning and delivering IT training to adults
• A relevant teaching/ training qualification preferred

The post require flexible working including one evening a week and some Saturdays.

You will also be required to completed an Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau clearance.
