You will assist in the exciting area of geographic information systems, taking data from various sources and creating layers of map based information which is both enhancing and increasing efficiency of council provided services. Having access to the most up-to-date information on every property, including multi-occupied premises is not only vital to the Council itself for services such as environmental services, local taxation and voting, but also for its partners such as the emergency services.

The Council maintains a Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and you will be required to keep the LLPG up to date and as accurate as possible, updating new properties and changes and cross checking with other Council applications.

You must have GCSE’s (Grade C or equivalent) in Maths and English and have previous experience of office systems and Microsoft Office. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated with a can do approach who can work to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.

This is a one year fixed term contract with possibility of extension.

  • Note, the Council is currently implementing a new pay and grading structure and salary may be subject to change.
