The Policy & Performance Directorate lies at the heart of the County Council’s strategic decision-making. It comprises of five services: Democratic and Local Leadership, Policy & Public Affairs, Strategy & Policy Projects, Performance and Service Development and Communications. Our vision for the Policy & Performance Directorate is of a dynamic, flexible, responsive core serving the whole Council.
We’re looking for two exceptional candidates to join the Countywide Performance Management team and the Services for Communities Performance Management team within the Performance and Service Development Service. You will help support the teams by producing high quality, accurate performance information and analysis with the Services we support directly, as well as using benchmarking and other intelligence to help drive continuous improvements. You will have excellent report writing skills and the ability to carry out research across the range of services we support. You will also work with managers to help co-ordinate service delivery plans as part of the business planning process across the organisation.
The role and work is varied, you will need to be organised, highly IT literate and able to make sense of lots of data and information to provide quality performance analysis for managers. Liaising with others to obtain performance information will be a key part of the role and your ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues across the Council will be vital.
You will also need to possess initiative, be able to work flexibly and deliver to tight deadlines. You’ll be a highly effective team player with excellent organisational and IT skills as well as possessing a good knowledge of performance management systems, possibly from working in the public sector.
