Taking Pride in Improving Lives
This is a really good time to join Wandsworth Adult Social Services. We have introduced self-directed support and have begun the process of more integrated working with the NHS.
NHS Commissioners will be co-located with us shortly.
Working alongside commissioners and operational staff, you will ensure that this Department continuously improves, delivering the best outcomes and quality of service to our customers.
Your role will be to offer expert advice and to support change.
You must be educated to degree level or equivalent and have an excellent knowledge of social care / health care through extensive and demonstrable experience at a senior level in a local authority or health care setting.
You will have the special quality of being able to see the ‘big picture’ but with skills and drive to work on the detail. We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with operational health and social care staff, service users and carers, and who can achieve improvements for our service users/carers by crossing managerial and professional boundaries.
You will have responsibility for designated portfolio of work in the Department’s Business Plan.
To find out more contact Wendy Moreton, Policy & Performance Manager, 020 8871 6271, .
Closing date: 20 February 2012.
Interview date: Week of 5 March 2012.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
