North East Lincolnshire’s Family Resource Service provides a diverse range of family support interventions to meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people and their families. Our key role is to design, plan and provide preventative support packages which safely maintain children within their family network. We are fully committed to the Children’s Centres and Every Child Matters agendas, the ethos of which underpins all of our practice as we continually strive to reduce the inequalities and improve the outcomes for all children and young people.
Over the forthcoming months within North East Lincolnshire there will be twelve fully operational Children’s Centres with potential for another Centre to follow in a rural area. The creation of these posts will enable children and young people (aged 0 to 11) and their families to access support services at a Universal level throughout the whole of North East Lincolnshire and will allow for preventative work to be undertaken at the earliest possible point of intervention.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for us to expand our team and appoint an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Practice Manager. As Practice Manager you will take the lead in further developing preventative services within the Children’s Centres. As part of your responsibilities you will be accountable for service delivery including, allocation of workload and tasks, rota and financial management.
Supported by the existing management role of the Partnerships Officer you will line manage and supervise a team of Family Support Workers who are placed in a variety of Children’s Centres in geographically diverse areas of North East Lincolnshire. You will also work closely with the Children’s Centre Co-ordinators to develop services and provision. This is a developmental yet rewarding area of work and would suit a highly motivated individual.
You must have a commitment to early assessment and identification of needs, partnership working and have a detailed working knowledge of the Children’s Centres and Every Child Matters agendas. Significant experience of work within a Children’s Social Care setting and a Social Work qualification or equivalent in a Social Care related field are essential requirements of this post.
