Thames Valley Police are offering a fantastic opportunity for bright committed individuals to join their neighbourhood policing teams in facilitating community engagement projects. You will be supporting the implementation of the Force Prevent strategy with the overall aim “to stop people becoming or supporting terrorists or violent extremists”.
This role involves promoting greater engagement between the community and the Police along with taking the lead in the development and delivery of key community projects whilst contributing towards and delivering against strategic targets
You will have an understanding of managing community relations as well as understanding of working within diverse communities with evidence of delivering projects within them. The ability to evidence an effective understanding of Islam is essential as well the ability to travel to different locations across the Thames Valley and the South East Region.
