Principal Auditor – Corporate Fraud
Full Time 36 hours per week
We currently have an opportunity within our Internal Audit team, which is part of our Finance & Procurement Section, providing strategic professional support to the Council, which is key to achieving our objectives and ensuring optimum service delivery.
In this role you will work as part of the Corporate Fraud team you will support the Corporate Fraud Manager in all elements of his role in actively contributing to the achievement of the team’s aims and objectives and you will undertake;
• reactive and pro active fraud audits and undertake complex/sensitive investigations of suspected fraud, corruption or other irregularities.
• plan, manage, lead and deliver a range of assignments in the specialist area of fraud prevention, detection and investigation.
• develop and maintain key corporate policies and procedures relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud & corruption e.g. Anti Fraud and Corruption and Whistleblowing Policies.
• provide Anti Fraud and Corruption awareness training.
For this role we are seeking an auditor with significant working experience within a fraud/audit environment and a strong understanding of fraud in the public or private sectors.
The ability to communicate, influence and motivate at all levels is therefore essential to this post.
