The Isle of Wight is a beautiful and vibrant place to live. In a recent survey 93 percent of residents said they loved living here. However, one of their major concerns is the condition of the Island’s road network. The good news is that this concern is about to be addressed by an unprecedented investment in the network following the Island’s successful bid for PFI credits worth £853million over 25 years.
To help us address the backlog of maintenance and repairs through the PFI project, the Council is looking for a Programme Director. It is a post responsible for making a real difference to the Isle of Wight and it’s aspiration to become an Eco Island.
The post requires significant PFI experience and sharp business acumen. Candidates will have worked for a major consultancy, engineering firm or local authority and will have been responsible for the successful delivery of PFI projects.
