THIS IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 18 MONTHS.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social/market researcher to join Surrey County Council’s Policy and Performance Service.

Leading on high profile research projects, the successful candidate will be able to bring data and information to life and help to embed evidence–based decision-making across the Council.

You will bring substantial social/market research and strong data analysis experience, which will include the design and delivery of quantitative and qualitative research. Your experience will also include coordinating and analysing research projects, presenting findings to management teams and working collaboratively with key partners.

Part of the Policy and Performance Service within the Chief Executive’s Office, the postholder will ensure accurate analysis of key issues facing Surrey and maximise the accessibility of information across the Council and for the public. This will include:
• managing the development of Surrey-i, the Council’s local information system; and
• managing the design and delivery of quantitative and qualitative research projects.

You will have strong project management and organisational skills, be an excellent communicator (orally and in writing) and problem solver. You will be able to demonstrate strong customer focus and advanced IT skills (experience of analysis software, such as SPSS, is desirable), be able to work flexibly and have a positive, can do attitude.
