Resident Involvement Officer

Salary:£30,000 (pro rata) 

Hours:36 hours 

Working pattern:Full Time, Temporary, Contract position 

Location:Epsom, Surrey

Reporting to the Service Development Manager, within the Chief Executive’s Office, you will be responsible for delivery of the Opportunity Store, Rosebery’s resident involvement and empowerment strategy which was launched in 2007. You will work across the whole organisation to ensure that residents have a real say about the management of their neighbourhoods; you will provide expert advice on consultation and involvement and build on capacity within our communities.

During the period of the contract, you will be responsible for delivery of a number of key projects including:

- Delivery of the promises within the Strategy document, including an impact assessment of the Oppotunity Store;
- Reviewing the Governance arrangements for the Opportunity Store and associated groups and forums and the terms of reference for the delegated budgets they control;
- Preparing the organisation to meet the requirements of the Tenant Services Authority, including the development of a resident inspection scheme;
- Leading the organisation towards achieving TPAS accreditation.

This is a challenging role requiring innovative thinking, a track record in delivering inclusive, outcome-focused services in a way that empowers and provides choice to Rosebery residents and which does not exclude the wider community.

You must have excellent project management skills, be a strong communicator and not be afraid of a challenge within a changing environment.
