Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties, from provision of budgetary control information for a range of the Council’s services, coordinating and completion of government returns to involvement in the Councils external partnerships and projects, with some supervision of Accountancy Assistants.

You will also be providing advice and information to Members and Officers with differing levels of financial knowledge, so the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing is important.

Ideally you will be part-CCAB qualified (preferably CIPFA) and support will be available to the right candidate to complete their professional training.
