Education, Children's Services and Leisure Senior Administrator Full time, 9 month Contract (or internal secondment opportunity) SO1 £25,440 - £27,009 pa An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Governor Support Service for an outstanding Administrator who is an enthusiastic, team player with exceptional communication skills. The London Borough of Enfield Governor Support Service assists Enfield governors in the discharge
of their legal responsibilities by providing expert advice, administrative support and guidance on all matters of good governance. The service ensures that governing bodies are kept up-to-date on educational and procedural issues to support Governors contribution to school improvement. Other key contacts include head teachers, councillors, parents, staff and faith community representatives. The service currently provides support to 70 School Governing
Bodies within the Borough. We are looking for a Full Time Support Officer (job share, and secondments will be considered). Key requirements of the post include: An understanding of how the Governor Support Service can make a difference to schools Knowledge of the role of school governors and of current school management issues Experience of preparing and writing minutes and agendas for formal and informal
meetings. Ability to speak out and advise on procedural matters and good practice at meetings Ability to prioritise own workload Ability to work to constant and often conflicting deadlines Experience of supporting other team members and contributing imaginatively to team development Attending at least five evening meetings each school term In addition you will need to have Proficient
use of a range of computer packages such as word, excel, and data entry programmes.
