We want every person in the borough to have a roof over their heads. And not just any old roof. With your help, we’ll make sure that all Council accommodation conforms to the highest quality standards.

Before we use any private properties to house people, you’ll inspect them thoroughly. You’ll then advise the landlord of any work that must be completed to bring the accommodation up to standard.

If the landlord needs details of our housing schemes (particularly the London Landlord Accreditation Scheme), you’ll be the first point of contact.

At this level, you’ll be expected to plan your own workload and to contribute to the development of strategies, procedures and standards.

An experienced housing inspector, you’ll be equipped for this key role. You’re trained in the use of HHSRS and your knowledge covers building repair, improvement and fire risks.

You understand housing legislation relating to SFDs and HMOs and know how to apply it too. Just as importantly, you’re an outstanding communicator – able to express yourself clearly (both verbally and in writing) to connect with a whole range of people.
