Senior Inspection Officer

Grade: Scale 6 to SO2

Reference: FN/2286C/JM

Salary: £25,515 to £31,935

You will be working in a high-pressure target based environment and will need to work well with others to achieve team targets. We need highly motivated and committed people, with outstanding customer care skills.

You will need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interpret and explain complex issues relating to Council Tax and National Non Domestic Rates to all members of the community while out on Inspections. You must also be able to prioritise your own workload, work quickly and accurately under pressure. In addition the successful candidate will need:

• Experience in using an on line computer system
• The ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to work with minimum supervision

Familiarity of using Northgate I World and document imaging computer system would be an advantage.

Please note that although this is a graded post from scale 6 to SO2, Senior Inspector post in this instance we are looking to appoint at the top end of the grading, namely at Senior Inspection Officer grade that being SO2, candidates must be able to meet and address the whole of the SO2 role in the Job Description / Person Specification.
