ADULT SOCIAL SERVICES
The Physical and Sensory Impairment Team provides care management and re-enablement support to adults with physical disabilities; long-term conditions; HIV/AIDS; asylum seekers and sensory impairments and carers. Many of our service users have needs which are several and complex.
The team is committed to outcome focused care and ensuring that service users are able to reach their maximum level of independence.
Several new opportunities have arisen in this exciting and innovative team which is making positive changes to the lives of our service users and their carers.
Re-enablement Team
You will carry a small, complex caseload and will be responsible for leading and supervising the group of specialist staff including administrative staff’ an occupational therapist, rehabilitation officers and community care officers.
Experienced in working with adults with a physical and/or sensory impairment, you will have a relevant qualification (DipHE in Rehabilitation Studies, DipSW, DIPOT or equivalent).
The ability to travel around the borough is essential.
