Senior Scrutiny and Performance Officer

Salary:JM2:- £30,598 - £34,140 p.a. (pay award pending) 

Hours:37 hours per week This post is available for job share 

Working pattern:Full Time, Permanent position 

Location:Weston-super-Mare

We need somebody who can act as the principal driver to further develop the council’s framework for monitoring and reporting of performance information, to oversee the performance requirements of our Local Area Agreement and to implement the council’s performance management software.

The role will require:

 Experience in providing effective performance management information including the publication of the annual performance plan
 Experience in implementing performance management software in a large complex organisation
 A strong background in research, data collection and analysis
 A good understanding of the key issues facing local government including CAA and Local Area Agreements
 Proven ability and confidence to communicate with councillors and senior management

As part of the council’s Scrutiny and Performance Team you will be an enthusiastic and experienced team player with the skills and ambition that can rise to the challenge of improving performance management in North Somerset.
