Training Officer - Adult Care (Temporary until 31st March 2009)

Location:People Resourcing & Development Training Delivery Team, Archdeacon Training Centre, Archdeacon Street,Gloucester

Our Social Care Training Delivery Team requires an experienced Training Officer to join this very busy team. We are looking for a Training Officer who is flexible and a team player to support and grow this enthusiastic team. You will need to be an effective communicator, have good interpersonal and presentation skills. If you feel you could help us to meet our team objectives, then you are the person we are looking for.

You would be responsible for supporting cross sector training in common induction standards criteria as set down by Skills for Care and a development programme covering long term conditions for existing GCC staff and new worker roles. Developing, delivering and evaluating training to meet Skills for Care standards for employees who work within the adult social care sector but will be working across teams to support training to a consistent level.

The successful applicant would need to have experience of working in the care sector and be able to deliver training to relevant staff to a variety of different staff groups using innovative and creative delivery styles.
