Contract – Permanent, full time

Salary – £30,345 – £31,935

Location: Town Hall Extension, Argyle Street, WC1H 8NP

Camden Council currently has a new opportunity for a Tree Officer to join their Parks and Open Spaces team.

Role Purpose :

To assist in management of Council owned trees.

To assist the tree manager with Service Level Agreements for the maintenance of the Council’s tree stock and all associated resources.

Provide risk management and specialist advice across the council and to external stakeholders

To ensure the tree maintenance programme is delivered on time and to budget

About You:

Preferrably a holder of the Technician’s Certificate in Arboriculture; you will have experience of street and parks tree management. You will willingly bring new experiences to the team and offer positive ideas for improvement. Working within a well renowned trees team you will need to go the extra mile to support continuous improvement.Role Requirements

  • Experience within arboricultural industry
  • Technical Certificate – Arboriculture or equivalent experience
  • Adaptability to undertake a wide range of duties that are not directly related to the technical area of arboriculture
  • Ablility to work as part of a team and supervise Agency staff, Volunteers/Tree Wardens when necessary
  • Contract management
  • Arboricultural diploma is desireable
