The Web Development and Support Manager is responsible for the business system design and development, web development, and application support functions of Service Delivery. This includes the provision of systems consultation and development for PHSO projects, technical management of PHSO business applications including Visualfiles and HR Pro, provision of expertise and resources for the development of PHSO’s intranet, web sites and content management systems, and management of the application support helpdesk.
The Ombudsman provides a service to the public by undertaking independent investigations into complaints that government departments, a range of other public bodies in the UK, and the NHS in England have not acted properly or fairly or have provided a poor service. The Ombudsman’s aim and vision is to provide an independent, high quality complaint handling service that rights individual wrongs, drives improvements in public services and informs public policy.
