Action for Children (formerly NCH) has been working with the UK’s most vulnerable children since 1869. We’re one of the UK’s largest children’s charities and every year we help nearly 170,000 children, young people and families enjoy a brighter future.
We are a key provider of high quality disability services to children and families with complex needs. North Somerset Professional Carers is a successful and innovative project, which provides family based short breaks by home-based carers. Our Avalon project provides residential and community based short breaks and has been rated as good by Ofsted.
You’ll lead a team of experienced professionals, ensuring we work together with children, families and other services to achieve desired outcomes. With an NVQ4/Diploma in Social Work or other relevant qualification, you’ll have excellent leadership skills and experience of managing in a social care setting.
