Literate communities are more likely to be active, healthy and prosperous. Do you want to lead a team that helps people fulfil their potential, so they can contribute to creating a better life for their communities?
We need District Managers for Kent’s Library and Archive Service.
Could you lead a district team delivering library and local history services? You need to be a strong and effective leader, and able to manage people, budgets and buildings to deliver an excellent service. To do this you would need to build excellent relationships with local communities and partner agencies, and work closely with local politicians to ensure services are targeted to meet local needs.
You must be a creative thinker, able to work flexibly, on your own or with partners. You should be able to identify opportunities, develop innovative ideas and drive forward substantial local projects to deliver service improvement.
Working with colleagues across the County as a team of local managers, you will be able to influence policy development for the Service.
This Service has made huge changes over recent years, but we are not complacent, and we know more change is needed. Do you want to join us in accepting this challenge?
