Assistant Team Manager

Salary:£35,634 - £40,281 pro rata

This post is to ensure that high quality service is provided for both children in care and their foster families in the east of the county.

In this responsible role, you will manage a number of supervising social workers and provide inspiring leadership to ensure an excellent fostering service to children who need care in alternative families. Your task will concentrate upon the placement of children in both short-term and long-term foster homes. You will undertake a wide range of functions in the team and work collaboratively with the other assistant team managers. The team has responsibility to ensure our foster carers are supervised and supported to a high standard thus ensuring our children experience the best possible care.

You will contribute significantly to recruitment and the development of stable placements, ensuring good outcomes for every child in care. The team is innovative and creative. We require a professionally qualified social worker with extensive experience of working with children in care, a strong background in fostering and policy knowledge, energy and personality to command respect at every level.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and POCA check will be required for this role.
