Islington Adult and Community Learning Service works with the Borough’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable adults to improve their quality of life and life chances. Our programmes are designed to provide learning opportunities that widen participation and attract people into learning and are delivered in a wide range of neighbourhood and community settings across the Borough. We are looking for fully qualified and experienced sessional tutors to join the team to teach accredited and non-accredited courses at entry level and level 1 in the following subject areas:
In our first Steps neighbourhood learning programme:
We urgently need:
- A Dyslexia Specialist with experience of screening and assessing learners and teaching literacy-based classes to learners with dyslexia.
- ESOL, Literacy and Numeracy specialists.
- Financial Literacy tutors.
- Tutors with dual specialisms (i.e. literacy and numeracy/ literacy and ICT etc.)
- Tutors with experience of delivering courses embedded/ contextualised with other subjects, such as creative writing, healthy living, confidence building, green/sustainability/ environmental issues etc.
