Join one of our community or hospital teams working with vulnerable adults in Surrey, and you’ll be in a rewarding role with excellent opportunities for training and career development.
This is an exciting time to work in Surrey, as self-directed care creates more choice for service users, and you’ll have the chance to work with integrated teams. You’ll carry out assessments, arrange and review care in the community or in a residential or nursing home, and have regular contact with colleagues from other professions. But the most vital and rewarding part of the role is in safeguarding vulnerable adults, and you’ll be offered every support and guidance in doing this.
You should be a qualified social worker, or a qualified nurse or occupational therapist looking for a new challenge. You should have some experience of working in a community setting, be familiar with the social care legislative framework, and be able to act as an advocate. You should be able to work well as part of a team, but also work well independently.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check will be required for this role.
For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Michelle Head or Caroline Jones on 01276 800 333.
Interview date: 27 January 2009.
