An exciting Opportunity has arisen within the Crime and ASB Service, based within Newham Council to lead the business support team comprising of 8 staff based at Warehouse K (near the Excel centre).

The newly formed Business Support Team has responsibility to ensure effective provision of support functions to the various teams within Warehouse K and across the service.

We are looking to appoint someone with excellent team building skills, experience of managing staff through change and with a real passion for delivering high-quality services.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the services systems, process and procedures; along with developing their own management experience and future career prospects.

Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety, Risk Management, and budgets are essential.

Closing date: 23RD January 2009

As the Council has a normal retirement age of 65, the maximum age for recruiting new employees will usually be 64 1/2.
