As part of our Fostering team in Reigate, you’ll be responsible for assessing and recruiting foster carers, playing an important role in the development of foster care in East Surrey.

Having expanded to include long-term fostering, we are recruiting more social workers. Playing a part in the fostering process, you’ll be contributing towards ensuring that we recruit the right people; ensuring that we continue our excellent service into the future.

You will need an appropriate social work qualification and GSCC registration and experience of working with children and young people is essential. The team is committed to high standards of care to make a real difference to children in foster care. Due to the nature of this role, you will need a full UK driving licence.

In this highly varied role, you will be involved in recruitment and also the day-to-day supervision and assessment of foster carers. With excellent communication, IT and organisational skills, you’ll be responsible for assessing, supervising and supporting your caseload of carers, including the vital decision of matching children to existing carers, and assessing carers for long term fostering.

An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and POCA check will be required for this role.
