Strategic in your thinking and creative in your approach, you will bring the ability to influence and achieve across a complex inter-organisational landscape. You will build on the partnership already established between the Council, Waltham Forest NHS and wider partners to manage current and future interventions that form part of the Health Improvement Programme. With an understanding of the factors leading to health inequalities, you will provide a strategic lead for the effective delivery of neighbourhood-based health services. You will actively champion innovation and develop relationships with key agencies to ensure the Programme’s interventions have maximum impact and knit into health services and related activity across the borough.
With previous experience of working in the health sector and of managing staff, you will be expected to manage a team of Household Health Improvement Managers in their client focussed roles based in the borough’s priority neighbourhoods. You will have responsibility for ensuring that the Programme’s interventions deliver contracted outputs to budget, and for reporting performance and spend to the accountable body.
A proven operator across agencies, you will use your political, organisational, and leadership skills to ensure the successful delivery of local priorities, effectively channelling resources to meet targets contained within the Council’s Better Neighbourhoods Initiative, Waltham Forest NHS Public Health Strategy and the Local Strategic Partnership’s Local Area Agreement.
