Kent is one of only 21 Local Authorities to be successful in bidding to become a pathfinder authority for the transformation of short breaks for disabled children and their families. We have been given £15m over the next three years to do this.
This is one of the most challenging and exciting programmes of change the authority has undertaken and demands the “best in business” when it comes to appointing someone to lead the workforce development necessary to implement the transformation of short breaks.
To deliver this, we are seeking to recruit a superb manager with a track record of delivery in developing the social care workforce.
You’ll need exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade the actions of others to support and contribute to expanding and developing the workforce, in both specialist and universal services. You’ll have strong change management and partnership working skills, making you effective in building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
