This post involves the maintenance of over 16,000 customer accounts relating to the Council’s Garden Waste Collection Service. You will maintain and input direct debit agreements as well as processing BACS files and submissions. The post will liaise with the Council’s Cleansing Service, plus the in-house Customer Contact Centre and Customer Service Centre. In addition, you will be in contact with banks and building societies as well as dealing with customers by telephone, letter and e-mail.
Applicants must have experience of computerised accounting systems, strong keyboard and personal computer skills plus the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers by telephone and in writing. They should also be able to work as part of a team and prioritise their workload to achieve deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
