Internal Audit has implemented a risk-based approach to auditing and we are committed to the continuing development of our employees and service.
The post holder will be required to supervise and conduct audits/special projects across a full range of services throughout the city in line with professional standards. The post holder will also contribute to the audit planning process and attend meetings with various levels of management. An automated management information/working paper package (Galileo) is utilised by the Internal Audit Service.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills. Relevant experience of working in a financial environment and the supervision of more junior staff are preferable.
Sheffield City Council is currently undertaking a pay and grading review; as part of the review, the grade and salary for this post may be subject to change.
